Besides that, do you think your (most likely made up) statistic is going to convince anybody? Even if more than 50% of all new cases were currently NOT directly due to homosexual sex, how many of them are still traceable back to homosexual sex? A heck of a lot more than 50%, I'd bet.
Perhaps our skepticism flows from our inability to understand God's language of love which is based not on what we do, but on who He is. There is nothing we can do to earn His love. There is nothing we can do to lose it. No wonder that millions respond to the gospel. The complexities of religion, of theology and philosophy are all simplified in Jesus. In Him alone, God's forgiveness and love is available to dummies - and anyone else - with ears to hear and a heart to respond.
