no, you're wrong Mark. It was creepy. a 70 plus year old man fawning over a young girl on public televsion in which she was sitting in the stands minding her own business. I am 70 and my son is 22 and we both looked at each other and said well that was wierd. nothing to do with PC, and all to do with too much excitement in his voice.

No your wrong choppingblock, old men like pretty women just as much as the next guy. Get a life!

Get a life for God's sake. The rest of the world doesn't have to be morose just because you suffer from erectile dysfunction.

You think Musberger was creepy? How about you fathering a child at age 48? Was the mother 48 as well? I doubt it. That means your wife (if you were married) was likely quite a lot younger than you. Many people might consider THAT creepy!

Methinks you doth protesteth too much.

It had everything to do with PC. So you were offended. So were some others. Big deal! I'll be willing to bet there were many who weren't. So please point to that bit in the constitution were you are guaranteed the right to never be offended. I'll wait!

Oh, by the way; the woman WAS pretty! And as a former pageant winner, she knew it! But nobody is complaining about her exploiting her good looks in that endeavor. Grow up folks!

He was not helped by the cameraman or the director getting stuck showing the family, including her.

All of this political correctness is ridiculous. It's beyond silly for anyone to think that for a man to compliment a woman is creepy. She wasn't offended. I'm a woman, I was watching and I didn't even notice it until all the fuss started. I heard him say it and thought nothing of it.

No, you are wrong. It was creepy to YOU. You, however, do not speak for everyone else.

No, you're wrong. It wasn't creepy at all. He never suggested that she would be a good match for himself, he suggested that young men get out and start throwing the football with their fathers. Very reasonable.

Before examining the ridiculous controversy stemming from Monday night’s college football championship broadcast, let us stipulate that there are more urgent and scary ways to describe the current changes in America.

We are becoming a culture of dependency. We are becoming a neo-socialist experiment. We are becoming a dumbed-down nation unappreciative of its founders. We are losing touch with the Constitution and the very concept of liberty.

I do not argue that today’s essay is our most pressing problem. But as scores of fine writers address the various angles of our republic’s dangle from a precarious thread, I thought I’d venture...
