Although I am not sure of how I feel about your idea of the voting age (first glance is I think you are right), I then have to slide down that slippery slope to ask, in all seriousness, if taking your idea, we apply it to the women's vote and say that women elected Obama because he was such a charmer. Women love him, not because of his policies but because they think he is cool. Once you begin to remove a segment of the voting population because you think they can't make an intelligent decision, then I am afraid you will have no place to stop.
