I own guns myself (of course, this is Texas). I also have 2 very good friends who are cops in FTW. I'm not defending either side; but I can see both sides. We citizens forget that cops are much more afraid of us (an unknown individual) than we are of them.

The gentleman did NOTHING wrong. The officer is the one who was out of control and scaring people. There are NOT two sides to this. Thank heavens they got it on video. Where is the ACLU protecting this guy's rights? Oh, that's right, we don't need no stinkin civil rights, do we?

You wouldn't know rational if it bit you, moron.

Do you want a nervous cop approaching you? Do you want to get arrested for some made up charge? Or do you want the cops to understand the law and the constitution?

IF you hand over the gun and the cop still arrests you then guess what knucklehead then you have a case. But until then..hand over the gun so the cop feels safe and he can determine if the situation is safe and no laws are being broken.

That's not what happened idiot, but you know that.

A decorated war veteran on a Boy Scout hike with his 15-year-old son was arrested alongside a Texas country road after a police officer accused him of “rudely displaying” a firearm.

Army Master Sgt. C.J. Grisham told Fox News he was illegally disarmed by members of the Temple Police Dept. - even though he held the proper permits to carry his weapons.

Grisham and his son were on a 10-mile hike in a rural area populated by wild boars and cougars. He was carrying an AR-15 rifle and a .45 caliber pistol.

He was charged with resisting arrest - even though...
