One man, one vote. One time.
Sure he can. He can create jobs for Special Prosecutors, private investigators, correction officers, judges, prison guards, criminal lawyers, probation officers, and proctologists to treat prison rape.

Ransom Confronts Internet Tax Lobbyist

terry93 Wrote: May 15, 2013 3:09 AM
Ransom doesn't understand. The state laws already assert that its residents pay sales and use tax on everything they buy. I think that is wrong, but it has never gone to court. The states cannot MAKE its people pay that tax. They do not have any way to force residents to file returns on such a so-called tax obligation. They tried to assert this claim and impose the duty to collect on out-of-state vendors and they were shut down, humiliated, and laughed to scorn by the Supreme's Quill decision in 1972. The Court said without action by Congress the tax could not be imposed or collected. Thus, this Bill. It must be stopped for many, many reasons.

The states claim to have the authority, but they cannot collect. They argue that you, the consumer, already owe the tax. If they can't collect it, I am not paying it. If they can collect then I have a big Tax Increase. If the Brick and Morter businesses cannot compete, they need to change their business model, change their location, or find another line of work. It is not the government's job legitimately to set up interstate protective tariffs in restraint of free trade. That is anti-competitive, anti-consumer, and crooked.

Thank you, Corbett, for explaining the Quill decision. This Tyranical Law is necessary because of Quill. It's not just internet sales, it is ALL interstate sales. All your mail order catalogs, anything you buy on the Home Shopping Network, or a Shamway, art from Sotheby's, Christies, or Fredericks of Hollywood. What you buy from the SkyMall, Hammacher Schlemmer, J.C. Whitney, Vitamin dealers, Ghirardelli chocolate from California, equipment from OMC, NewEgg, TechForLess, RedTag, AuctionZip, your investment publishers and seminars, $5000 Best Software, eRug, Sportsman's Warehouse, GunBroker, GunsAmerica, GunsInternational, GunList, GunAuction, Lou Tannen's Magic Shop, collector and bullion coins and bars, ammo, DVDs, CDs, and downloaded music, The Teaching Company courses, I was an "early adopter" of the internet and have been buying all I can get that way since 1986. Tennessee Sales Tax is 9.45%. Senators Alexander and Corker have SCREWED us. What would Ronald Reagan say to these turncoats to More Govt Spending, Bigger Govt bureaus, and not only Higher Taxes but New Taxes. Arrrgggg!
A theological question: Could one be the spawn of the Devil and not know it? In other words, innocent, or a useful idiot? Rabbi?

Obama lamented that he had "failed to calibrate the explanation" of his policy. Poor calibration! If he were a Human Cannonball, we could never find anyone else of his calibre!
