goldilocks, The Bible is not against VOLUNTARY sharing (see Acts 4:32-35) - but, the Bible also does not require sharing (see Acts 5:4). However, the Bible does teach that stealing is a sin (see Exodus 20:15) and more to the point the Bible teaches that coveting is a sin (see Exodus 20:17). Government forcing people to "share their wealth" is simply not Biblical ! People voluntarily sharing - "as the need arises" is Biblical. I would also point you to the words of the Apostle Paul: 2 Thessalonians 3:10 "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat." The Bible is clear that there will never be total equality - per se - but, rather that each will be given different gifts & resources to use for building he Kingdom. in any case, while your heart certainly seems to be in the right place, I believe you make a huge mistake in thinking that the Bible ever teaches that having a Government Program to force "Income Equality" is desireable. The fact is that Government Programs are usually inefficient and more likely to be corrupt than voluntary Fath-Based sharing through the Church.

I held my nose once and voted for John McCain. I do not think I could stand doing again - especially from Christie!
