Calling All Moderate Muslims

"...... local politicians and media commentators consistently opt for the incremental compromise that may restrict freedom just a bit because it mollifies a complainant." That is EXACTLY what ol' Ben Franklin was talking about when he said: “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” And, if we continue to do this, we shall have neither.
There is only one fundamental reason for the incessant and widespread government stupidity and ignorance which continually burdens us and, believe me, will eventually destroy us.... it is here: http://www.funlol.com/189/Head_Up_Your_Ass.html
How did Thomas Jefferson know so well, the minds of men? That leaders all, would take control with but a stroke of pen, That liberties we hold so dear could be taken from our grasp By those with power and control without our counsel asked. It's human nature, he knew well, would cause a man to seek To be in charge of all in sight while trodding on the meek. He understood not standing up for what the Founders fought Would shackle hard won rights of men, restricting free mens' thought. So, read his words, as true today as two hundred years before And, even though we live our lives to a different music score, The chorus still remains the same, with words of wisdom shared, Guard our freedoms as life itself or end in chains our fare.
So, obummer wants "fairness?" Webster's Dictionary defines fair as: "marked by impartiality and honesty; free from self-interest, prejudice, or favoritism." (That eliminates most politicians right there!) But fair, mind you, is a relative term, especially in Washington, DC. A "fair shake" is directly proportional to whether you are union, or a special interest, or a campaign contributor. Your "fair share" is inversely proportional to whether you are union, or a special interest, or a campaign contributor. And, if you are simply a lowly American citizen, you don't fit into the equation at all. In other words "fair," in Washington-speak, does not equal... well,... "equal."
Apparently, "jQuery15208024862045862329_1320077354776" represents two question marks at the end of my post above.
In this interview, Pelosi, speaking of the various ideas from the Super Committee said, "You can't judge one initiative without seeing the entire proposal." Yet, it wasn't that long ago when she said, "We have to pass the healthcare bill so you can find out what's in it." HUHjQuery15208024862045862329_1320077354776

Obama and Occupy Wall Street Are One

The Prez of these United States is an idiot. Perhaps a smart idiot, but an idiot nonetheless. He's an idiot for thinking his biased and weighted policies for reviving the economy and creating jobs will actually work. He's an idiot for thinking he can continue to BS most Americans into believing he knows what he is doing. But on the other hand, he is smart because he knows there are plenty of fellow idiots out there who will choose BS off the menu over common sense every time. Fast food at its worst.

Amidst all the partisan bickering and blame on this thread, it might do us all good to consider what the second President of the United States said 200 years ago: “There are two ways to conquer and enslave a country. One is by the sword. The other is by debt.” ? John Adams
