I worked for the GA. DOC for 4 years. The medical staff was very aware of sexual assault to the inmates and I thought did a good job of taking care of the inmates. If an inmate reported abuse by staff, the policy was for us to contact the duty officer not the supervising officer who was right there as they might be involved. No policy is perfect, training of the staff is crucial.
