I've been studying about President Coolidge and I really like what I've learned... He was not liked by many in DC... He must have been doing a good job. DC likes Obama... Need I say more?

Very few... Moderate is just another name for "moving to the Left more Slowly than the Far Left... Would we like you to be truly conservative? Sure...but we would want you to do so based on principles...not popularity, or inclusion for inclusions sake. There is just no way to water-down Limited Constitutional Government. Government is a hungry, selfish, wasteful monster...that must be kept under control. Conservatives (not synonymous with Republicans) know it must be closely monitored for it's enormous appetite... It is consuming our freedom apace... No half measures will reverse this tide. Why? The "will" to do so is dying... good people are tired...and the country is 16.5T in DEBT. We are ROME...Fat and Lazy.... Comfortable.

Perhaps we should stop trying to elect the next 'Savior", or "perfect candidate" for our party and just BECOME the 'savior' our party needs right where we are in OUR OWN communities? Quite frankly, Congress is where we need righteous Champions of goodness and virtue...with the fortitude to STOP the SPENDING ORGE! Congress has a 9% approval rating and yet we re-elect close to 90% of them... THAT is INSANE! Thank you Mr. Sowell for your article. You and Dr. Ben are truly inspiring! PS... Although, I don't believe in Luck, just 'chance odds'...and the person who waits around for those will never be a winner for very long. Meaningful and lasting success is tied to perseverance and elbow grease.

It's seems it is the Gov'ts and the Lame Stream Media's Full Time JOB to keep the electorate distracted so we do not discover the hypocrisy they are pulling on the American People. The "informed electorate" has known it for years....and yet it's largely ignored. The same thought underlies the idea that an unborn baby has fewer rights than an endangered animal species has. Gov't can't be the answer to Global Warming...they can't even handle one hurricane...Sandy recovery is a disaster! Ask them how the Gov'ts handling things there... Gov't could save more lives, save more money, and prevent more disasters by NOT (re)building in flood zones, and beachfront property, at least not with taxpayer money (or insurance of such places). There is plenty of private money to do that with... We can't afford stupidity...no matter how much they raise taxes...

-Humans aren't very logical sometimes...they think they'll always be the exception, and gov't sustains that illusion by making a 'hammock' out of a safety net... -When we don't feel the immediate consequence of our decisions, we're likely to blame something else for our troubles. That's insane!
