Taxman to Middle Class: 'Bend Over'

A major part of the problem is the media is always looking to blame someone for the problem and it's always best if they can blame republicans. The fact of the matter is both parties have been working for years to put us in this so called "crisis." They should have let the government shut down instead of raising the debt ceilings. Of course they're afraid to do that because most of us will find out we don't miss them.

Funny isn't it that when the debt ceiling was being debated last time, that the first thing Obama talked about was that he couldn't guarantee Social Security and Medicare payments could be made and couldn't guarantee payroll checks for members of the Armed Forces if the debt ceiling wasn't raised. He didn't mention that he couldn't guarantee the payroll for himself, and members of the House and Senate, as well as other government bureaucrats. He didn't mention that he couldn't guarantee the continuation of State dinner parties and his numerous vacations.

President Barack Obama in 2008, and again during the 2012 election, promised absolutely, positively no tax hikes on the middle class. The rich, however, must pay more: "It's not me being stubborn, it's not me being partisan -- it's just a matter of math."

How does Obama intend to pay for our cradle-to-grave welfare state? Why, by charging the dastardly "millionaires and billionaires" who "can afford to pay a little bit more." No more extending the Bush-era tax rates for the rich. To do so, Obama tells us, would "cost" $700 billion -- over 10 years. So this "break"...
