Bill Kristol: Tea Partiers Won't Mind More Taxes

The True Tea Partiers understand that to actually balance the budget (if we're going to keep on a spendin') then taxes cannot be cut now and should be raised. If we want lower taxes we should spend less. Kristol is a Neocon and so believes in using Big Govt and in spending.

A tax cut would INCREASE revenue to the Treasury.

Come back when you've learned something about economics, not to mention the history of tax cuts.

I believe in the Law of Diminished Returns. Raising taxes won't generate "revenue". It will rather stifle economic growth and lower "revenue".

Maybe Kristol believes, as I do, that completely destroying the economy is the only way cause significant change in DC's war against the rest of us. I consider it a (probably necessary) precursor to perestroika and glasnost. I doubt it though. My guess is that Kristol is just part of the DC Establishment Circle Jerk.

Way too often, raising taxes does not equal raising revenue...

...Even liberal icon John Maynard Keynes said it was a bad scene to raise taxes in a dismal economy.

Bill Kristol just doesn't get the Tea Party and apparently, doesn't understand the Obama tax hike proposal on those making more than $250,000 per year. Last week, Kristol said "it wouldn't kill the country" if we raised taxes on millionaires and yesterday on Fox News Sunday, he said the Tea Party wouldn't mind a tax increase on millionaires, either.

Kristol: A lot of the Tea Party guys don’t care too much if a few millionaires pay couple percent more in taxes, honestly.
