I see it all he time. People I know to be Liberal, when presented with a reasoned statement, and I'm talking about pure, simple, "The sky is up, the ground is down" type facts, I will be waved off because they don't "Like" the facts I've brought up,(they don't deny them. they just don't like them) or just "don't want to talk about it". This "conciousness raising" I keep hearing about is a pure, 180 degree flight back into the Subconcious, where they can safely ignore the present.
New research out notes that self-identified liberals are indeed more liberal - with the ignore and block buttons on social media platforms when it comes to arguments they disagree with.

As Zeke Miller finds in ORI's presentation, "liberals were significantly more likely to have blocked someone than conservatives," and specifically, they block people "because of their political views."
