Anne_1...Gary was correct in the facts. Your research will prove it. Mr. Obama did indeed take credit for giving an order that Panetta had the Seals carry out. He did have a letter waiting in the wings to disavow their actions if things went wrong. He did put the lives of the Seals in peril with his grandstanding. He did use the action for political purposes. I'll go further than Gary by expressing my opinion that the Seals that died in a rocket attack on their plane while on a mission shortly thereafter, died because of the actions of this president. Why should the SEALS have respect for a man who takes credit for their actions and holds them up to increased danger?

President Obama loves to tout the fact that Osama bin Laden's death happened on his watch, in large measure because it's about the only effective action his administration has taken for our country. But former members of SEAL Team Six, the branch of the military responsible for actually carrying out that "gutsy" order, aren't so pleased with the way the president has politicized it. Now, Ryan Zinke, one of those former SEALs and a Montana state Senator, has formed a PAC aimed at defeating Obama, called Special Operations for America.
