Does someone have to be openly gay in scouting? It feels as if "openly gay" has become synonymous with "in your face". I'm not a supporter of this change. It didn't help to hear the homosexual spokesman indicate that this was just the first step and that they would push to force the BSA to accept "gay" leaders. The camel's nose is under the tent and it won't be long until it loses its power to effect positive values in young men. Really glad that my five boys are Eagle Scouts and won't be under the influence of this change.

How is it that our President doesn't ever seem to know anything about the scandals in his administration and always declares that he find out about things from the newspapers and not through briefings by the heads of departments or his staff? I'm truly amazed when he says ...(paraphrased) I just read this on Friday in the news and if it's true... Really Mr President?!!!

That the people of her area have been voting her into office for the past 20 years is pathetic. They foist her brand of despotism on us and we have to listen to her pontificate a point of view that completely disregards the Constitution.

Obviously you don't understand that English teachers don't teach history and therefore are not responsible for the subject...just the way the argument is approached and if there is proper grammar and spelling. Why would any of us expect principled and moral teaching? (sarcasm)

The mainstream Republicans are as "progressive" as the Democrats and like the Dems foist upon us more of the morally corrupt " so-called representatives as if there is something wonderful about them and their transgressions. Both parties have lost the guidance that correct and moral principles give to true servants of the people...the Republicans are just late to the party. Lately, the more the Progressive Republicans say and do, the more I backpedal away from them and look for principled leadership.
