In the opinion of the majority of SCotUS, too. The _Citizens United_ decision was nothing more than an assertion the 1st Amendment & petitions clause means what it says.

What McCain-Feingold did was give George Soros the right to institute his nonprofit propaganda machines like Media Matters and MoveOn.org without competition or opposition, and then, to top it all off, get Federal monies to run these propaganda machines through "grants" to these "nonprofits." Nice work, if you can get it, as long as the sheep are sleeping.

Remember when President Obama slammed the Supreme Court in front of the world during his 2010 State of the Union address for their 2009 Citizens United ruling? Well it looks like Sen. John McCain would have done the same. Yesterday on Meet the Press, McCain called the Supreme Court "uninformed, arrogant and naive" while warning of political "scandals" as a result of the ruling.

 

MSNBC also used the Citizens United ruling as a punching bag after they lost the Wisconsin recall election to weeks ago.
