"gay reproduction" can't be legislated from the bench.

God does have the last laugh.

Or, if you're atheist, Mother Nature :)

Who want to bet: Somebody will sue for a "right" to government-(taxpayer-)funded cloning, since the inability to reproduce "discriminates" against gays.

Ha ha ha ha ha...
What fetish do you base your testimony on? (I'm surprised the Bible isn't good enough for you).

"Oh, no o o o o...Have to wade through another born again swamp," you say.

You're pretty funny! I bet if you get a beer in you, you can do some good stand-up! I remember Catholics used to like to have beer at their weekend potlucks in front of the kids...is it still that way? :)

G'night.

(...as in the exasperated figure of speech "Goodnight Irene!")

Why are you such a bigot?

Dumping on Maine Con for being a Mormon. I'm not Mormon, but you laugh at them for being hypocritical, as former polygamists, for taking issue with the push for gay marriage. Hey, they renounced polygamy, so where's the lack of integrity on their part?

And bashing them for having no "free will" because there are no "pro-gay-marriage Mormons". Well, God is all about free will. If you join a religion, you ought to agree with what they teach. If you don't, then GET OUT. Where's the lack of free will?

The defense took a dive in arguing for Prop 8 so "idiot Christians" would keep voting against their own self-interest? ...
Any pro-gay Catholic is a hypocrite. Your comment (most Catholic crosses have a loincloth on Jesus, by the way, not naked) reminds me of a conversation at an old job I had the privilege of hearing. One guy (ever proud of his Catholicism) said to another, "I have gay friends, and if I ever hear anybody say anything about them, I'll beat the crap out of you." The rebel in me wanted to say "Then start with your pope", but since he was big, sweaty and hot-tempered I kept it to myself :)

Having grown up Catholic but graduated to evangelical Christianity (as I hope Glenn Beck will do - no offense MaineCon - glad Beck found Mormonism to help him kick alcoholism), I hope you'll agree I'm in a position to call the hypocrisy as I see...
"religion is the tool the Plutocrats have used to destroy this country"

And they sure baited you good, didn't they? Religion-bashing, as you do.

You voted for McCain, you said, but I voted for Palin (he-he). I supported Huckabee in the primary. My problem with Romney wasn't his Mormonism, but his flip-flops to the right on social issues, and as such it was Romney who split the conservative vote. Giuliani, meanwhile, said he didn't think we needed a Federal Marriage Amendment unless several states legalized SSM. Well, Rudy, check your watch, do you think it's late enough now?

'08 is all water under the bridge. My point is, if you're smart enough to see what the plutocrats are up to, then whether...
You mentioned marital rape being outlawed in one of your history lessons on marriage.

Have you heard of Judge Joseph Charles in New Jersey, who allowed marital rape by a Muslim man? Depressing.

(It should go without saying, but no condemnation of peaceful, patriotic, moderate Muslims is intended.)

seems to have forgotten being schooled once before. Hopeless, like Pauly Shore trying a layup on Michael Jordan.

"Christians have accepted pre-marital sex, adultery and divorce." [as usual he never picks on Muslims, Jews, etc.]

No, it's your coke-snorting lawyer friends who condone these things - anything for a quick buck.

At least when Christians do these things, they feel guilty later.

Watch out for your lawyer buddies; they can't wait to litigate your divorces so they can buy more yachts.

You want to be like the rest of America, put over a barrel by predatory lawyers? Oh well, at least you've trained for it, since you engage in that sort of thing for fun anyway.

Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha...
Assuming your handle (as in CB handle, but then that gives away that I'm "old" to some, but by no means frustrated) means Always Free (like the Marines' Semper Fi means Always Loyal)...

and not knowing where you stand on all this anyway (not having read enough of your posts)...

If some human is addicted to a behavior that occurs nowhere else in nature...and since it does not, it is by definition unnatural...and since it is unnatural, the desire for it is by definition compulsive...and since it is compulsive, it is logical to equate it with addiction (no?)...how then is such a person Free?

Sign me, for the moment, Semper Logicalis, I guess.
then I gotta go back to work.

You said "Real courage is considering empirical evidence, and then drawing conclusions."

Was it NeoConScum who quoted the Romans verse about the witness Creation gives for the existence of the Godhead?

That's where I come down. I've had many occasions in life to ponder whether these "fairy tales" I was taught from my youth were phony, and I always conclude the empirical evidence supports them. There's plenty of evidence Jesus existed (not that anyone needs it, because that's where faith comes in, but allow me to humor you). While they didn't have birth certificates in those days (Obama would have fit in well!), people who lived with him wrote it all down 20, 30 and 40 years later...
Ooh, touched a nerve did I?

You must be Catholic.

What sect founded by a Texans did I join? I'm not aware of any.

Evangelical Christianity basically just sticks to the original source, the Bible, believing it is complete in its sufficiency for the teachings of Christ, rather than let other Church teachings, later revelations (a la Mohammed or Joseph Smith), etc. replace it. You know of Scripture's warnings against the "traditions of men", no? (Not being a theologian, just a common, washed-in-the-blood Jesus freak, forgive me if I misstated that in any way).

But you & I, if we both have accepted that Jesus is the way and without Him we have no hope, will both have the same eternal destiny.

Simple,...
