You have never run across the concept of dual citizenship? It does exist, you know. And, no, I am not an Irish citizen. I will have to hang my sarcasm sign next time I am making a point.

I mostly agree. With the exception that if it comes down to voting for Romney or Obama, I will have to hold my nose and vote for Romney. Quite like I had to with McCain. But my example is to point out that there are Mormons that are going to be collaterally affected by one preacher that doesn't understand the concept of Christianity.

I hope you don't mean Irish-Americans like myself. Please forgive my choice of words. but I am sure that there are considerably more black Americans that are not radical than the headline grabbers. It is those people that I worry about. The same as muslim Americans that would not dream of committing the horrific acts as other fanatical muslims. And now we are seeing Mormons being denegrated because some people are willing to attack anything about someone just to keep them from the Presidency.

The real shame here is that there are white racists out there that will use the Obama Presidency as an argument against all of the progress black society has made.

And when they feel entitled to the free stuff there is no incentive to work for any of it. They are "entitled" to an education so there is no reason to study. They are "entitled" to a job so there is no reason to try to be the best applicant. If the don't get a job they are "entitled" to free money instead. That is why, after 40+ years and trillions of dollars we have not made a significant dent in poverty. But the democrats will still perpetuate the cycle.

Are you referring to the recession that Clinton left Bush or the one that was created by the democrats when they took control of the spending in 2006?
Libs are totally blind to the truth of how free enterprise and a lack of givernment involvement will result in a self regulating economy. Ted also forgets the depression of 1920. Just as bad as the one that FDR perpetuated. Except Pres. Harding cut taxes across the board and also cut the budget in half. The depression lasted for a year and a half and resulted in the roaring 20s. Unemployment fell to 1.9%. But only 10 years later FDR would not heed that example and did the opposite to fix the economy and ended up extending the depression for years.

William Buckley said to vote for the most conservative candidate that has a chance of winning. Unfortunately, that seems to be a moving target. And it may come down to a repeat of 2008 where I had to hold my nose and vote for McCain. And I would have to hold my nose just as firmly if I were forced to vote for Romney. But, like usual, Prof. Sowell is correct. We will not be offered another Reagan. But 4 more years of economic policy like this might be impossible to recover from.
