that liberal/leftist/progressives don't CARE about what the majority of American citizens think.

I mean, consider the 'Defense of Marriage Amendments'. When the libs saw solid majoritiess in most states voting AGAINST redifining marriage, did they say "Oh, excuse us, obviously we are a fringe element"? Nah, they immediately sought the assistance of unelected Federal judges. Because when Democratic principles align against their agenda, they IMMEDIATELY abandon Democratic principles.

Their *demonstrated* philosophy is "The end justifies the means".
Do you expect 'hard-hitting' reporters to ask tough questions to militant Muslims (and thereby risk getting decapitated?)?

Much safer to pick on little girls.

Actually, you showcase the stereotypical American liberal thinking: "No matter how awful he may be, I'll STILL vote for the Democrat".

And we wonder why our nation is in this shape.
Mexico's immigration policy would be interpreted by the Lib/Progs as racist if adopted by the U.S. The reason our Lib/Progs don't condemn Mexico as racist is because of their own racial attitudes.

The Lib/Progs just don't figure you can expect anything much out of brown-skinned folks. Otherwise, they'd hold Mexico to the same standard as they hold the U.S.A.
When leftists do something despicable, their pals IMMEDIATELY suggest that it was really right-wingers pretending to be leftists, in an effort to provoke indignation against their opponents.

Really, folks, we've heard this before. Some idiot voices this suggestion EVERY time something like this happens. If you want to pretend that your side never does anything nasty, you are either out of touch with reality, or else you approve such behavior and are covering for the perpetrators.

that the mainstream are actually radical right-wingers. Such as the majorities in all those states who voted for defense-of-marriage amendments...
Did you notice how quickly the news went out that a 'white man' was the suspect in the Times Square bomb attempt? Only to find out that, surprise, a Pakistani man appears to have done the deed.

Hmm.

Just why WERE the authorities in such a hurry to finger a 'white guy'? I mean, white folks DO commit crimes and even terrorism. But c'mon, that bit of news seemed a little rushed. One wonders if this were an attempt to show that 'We're not profiling, we're not racist'.
The authorities in this case were just a little too eager to pin the blame on a white guy. If a Middle Easterner happened to be seen in the video loitering near the vehicle, would they have so rapidly proclaimed Middle Easterners as suspects?

Yeah, it's amazing. These guys would vote for some dude who abandoned a woman to drown, as long as he was Democrat. They'd vote for the guy who filibustered the Civil Rights Act for fourteen hours.

Oh wait, they did...

What you seem to be saying is that the 'normal' polls present people with questions which have been sanitized of facts that might actually get the respondent THINKING.

Which poll is biased: the one which carefully poses bland, vanilla-flavored questions designed not to elicit controversy, or questions which may actually reflect reality?
You wrote: "I guess the old, fat, racist white guys who founded this country only made one mistake: they let everybody else in too!"

Wrong supposition. I'm thrilled as I can be (having spent some time in societies who were homogenous and felt superior because of it) that the U.S. is not that way. And when you come to Fort Gordon, allow me to introduce you to my circle of friends. They are likely far more diverse than yours.

But tell me, paddy: How many Pakistanis have YOU known? I got to know dozens during my last deployment, and actively liked and respected virtually every one. Unfortunately, the likeableness and trustworthiness of individual Pakistanis (or individual Muslims of any ethnicity) does NOT invalidate...
