The problem is that Mitchell's analysis is based more on wishful thinking than reality. He's projecting his own fantasies onto Romney. Romney does have a track record governing, and it's one that should give any limited-government constitutionalist pause. Romney socialized health care in Massachusetts. He has supported gun control and so-called "global warming" controls. He has supported government-funded abortions. He's supported ethanol subsidies, corporate bailouts, the economic "stimulus" scheme, and declined to support federal tax cuts. He has not hesitated to switch sides on these and other issues when it looked like it would be politically expedient. We must support him over Obama, but will have to hold his feet to the fire.

Romney isn't God, but compared to the zero, Romney sits on the right hand.

I agree Tacitus X. Romney is not a perfect candidate, but when compared to the alternative if you don't vote for him.....he's a perfect candidate.

Like the hostages jetting from Iran the day Reagan raised his right hand, America’s economy is about to bust its chains.

Not everyone will celebrate, even though they should.

America wants to recover.

In all our history, recoveries follow crashes. Usually, the deeper the dip, the steeper the climb back out. The only crisis with a recovery worse than Obama’s is the one that led to policies even more collectively transformative than his.

Builders, growers, producers, achievers—that is, employers--don’t know whether the next blow from the White House will aim at their taxes, their energy, their emissions, their employees’ tort rights,...
