Weird and ignorant column. So Schafly believes that free trade means a "trade pact's 1,000 pages of rules and regulations...enforced by foreign tribunals" and that a big supporter of free trade is the leftist Washington Post? Her other supposed example of free trade is totalitarian communist slave state China. Meanwhile her economic "experts" include Alexander Hamilton (?) and a couple of Harvard "management" professors, a Yale professor and some guy at the (that's right) Federal Reserve. Gee, what possible statist bias could they have?

Schafly demonstrates the economic fallacies that are still a strong part of conservatism. As much as conservatives/Republicans pay lip service to "free markets", they really mean "regulated markets" and "America first protectionism". Conservatives can't comprehend that "low taxes" is not equivalent to "free markets".
The re-election of Barack Obama hasn't done anything to make more jobs available to Americans, and there is no indication that it will. America now has 23 million people who want a full-time job but can't find one.

Obama doesn't think American citizens or businessmen create jobs. His Jobs Czar, Jeffrey Immelt, recently said on a television interview referring to China, where he has outsourced General Electric's light bulb plants, "state-run Communism may not be your cup of tea, but their government works."
