Cads for Choice!

Some truth to the article, but the author doesn't seem aware that women often desire abortion, not just men. It's no coincidence that the largest pro-abortion groups are all led and dominated by women. A little balance please.

No coincidence? I suppose you're trying to tell us that ending abortion is a male thing?

If so, I suggest you take a look at the surveys:

A PEW poll shows that 35% of men and 34% think abortion should be “generally available.” 8% of men and 11% of women think it should be “never permitted.”

According to CBSNews, 40% of women and only 37% of men think abortion should be “Generally available.” 20% of men and 24% of women think it should be “not permitted.”

A later PEW poll shows men and women tied at 31% supporting abortion, and women slightly ahead, 12% to 11%, in believing abortion should be “never permitted.”

In other words, the numbers bear out exactly what Ms. Herzog is telling us: men who want to hook up without consequences are a major factor (not the only factor, but she didn't say that) in the support for abortion.

Ah yes, but the devil is in the details. How does the "favoring abortion" category break down? Are those who favor carte blanche abortion on demand lumped in with those who favor abortion only to save the life of the mother?

Having a little problem with the old reading comprehension? Herzog is the one blaming abortion on males -- I asked for "a little balance." The numbers you provide only bolster my point -- support for abortion seems to be pretty much balanced between males and females.

Balance? OK, there are quite a few women out there who are as immoral, irresponsible, and self-centrered at Toure and who deserve to be called bimbos no less than the likes of Toure merit being called cads. Happy?

Hear! Hear! Well said, Troglodite.

When will people start accepting responsibility for their actions? You want to go 90 mph in a 65 zone? Pay the ticket and increased insurance rates if you get caught. You want to have sex? Let the baby live and put it up for adoption if it's such an inconvenience.

would the view of the women who choose abortion on their own be sufficient to keep abortion legal without the millions of men who want abortion to be their fail safe for supporting their unshackled surrender to simple human lust?

At least Toure is honest.

On the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the MSNBC commentator literally thanked God and country for abortion. Fifteen years ago, he was in a “committed relationship” with a woman “who I knew was just not the one.” As Toure explained:

“She got pregnant, and I was terrified…I knew that pregnant woman and I were not going to be able to form a lasting family. She decided it was best to have an abortion and days later she did, we did, and in some ways that choice saved my life. I remain committed to being pro-choice...
