The gun control debate all comes down to where you live. What I mean is anyone who's ever lived in a major city like New York is probably in favor of some kind of gun control. With that many people living in such a close proximity, if everyone was allowed to carry a gun with them at all times it would be a bloodbath. On the flip side, if you live somewhere sparsely populated, well you may need a high powered rifle because help or the police or whoever is not readily available. You know all the people in the community so people can be responsible walking around with a gun. My 2 cents.

Let me rephrase, if everyone who wanted to carry a gun (and was mentally sane and had no criminal record) on them at all times in New York, it would still be a bloodbath.
