Here's my train of thought why just cutting people off of things like welfare is a bad idea. I really want to know where you disagree. A) A large number of people won't be able to find jobs. They just aren't there (look at mcdonalds hiring spree where 50 000 jobs were available, more than half a million people applied, or 10 people for every 1 job flipping freaking burgers). B) These people, who have no other sources of income, turn to crime. Instead of the 18 000 a year it costs to pay their welfare, we now pay ten times that beacuse of their crime. Hell, even if we lock them up it costs, what, 50 000 a year to keep someone in prison?
