History repeats itself over and over. In 1939 the operative word was "appeasement". Today it is called "restraint". The worst thing to happen to us was the Korean war. It created a political and military mindset that because of our military might we could fight any enemy to a standstill because they could never defeat us. Unfortunately, that thinking created the scenario for Vietnam. The enemy would eventually come to understand they couldn't defeat us militarily and would eventually come to terms just like North Korea. The rest, as they say, is history.

First of all, a state of war still exists between South Korea and North Korea. Presntly, there is only a Truce in place, which the North has violated on numerous occasions with impunity. Secondly we supported the South under a UN mandate after it was invaded by NK. Our presence is necessary to preserve this truce and to prevent another invasion by the North..

Olive, I know this will be difficult for you, but why don't you get off your liberal soap box for at least 30 seconds and respond , if you can, intelligently to the subject of the article? To help you out, it deals with North Korean aggression against South Korea, not our so-called economic policies, past or present.

Brown Won -- and Whitman Lost Big

You can always count on the Monday morning quarterbacks to come out of their holes to tell one and all who screwed up and why. After all they are such experts themselves. Brown, the Democrat controlled house and senate, the unions, welfare advocates, greenies, and illegals all deserve what they get. and it won't be a federal bailout.

Otto, on June 8, 1967 the USS Liberty was attacked and sunk by the Isreali AF during the 6 Day War. 34 crewmen were killed and 170 wounded. There was no question as to who did it, yet Linden Johnson didn't attack Isreal . Why not?

Here's is something else Reagon said in a speech in his 4th of July address (1987) in regard to 4 basic freedoms he believed in along with those granted by our constitution. " First is the freedom to work -- to pursue one's livelihood in one's own way, to choose where one will locate and what one will do to sustain individual and family needs and desires." "Well, second of those freedoms is the freedom to enjoy the fruits of one's labor -- to keep for oneself and one's family the profit or gain earned by honest effort." "Third is the freedom to own and control one's property -- to trade or exchange it and not to have it taken through threat or coercion." " Fourth is the freedom to participate in a free market -- to contract freely...

Rage Against the Machine

When Nov. 3 arrives, both parties will claim victory, especially if the pundits were right. Republicans will claim vicory when they win the house and pick up a number of senate seats. The Dems will claim victory if they still control the senate. BHO will blame Reid and Pelosi for their draconic tactics and the Republicans for distorting and objecting to everything he tried to do. No blame is to be attached to him. However, it's not over yet. We still have a lame duck Democrat controlled congress to deal with. Pelosi and Reid are not going down without doing more damage to our country; meaning "cap and trade".
After the election, the Republican Party such as it is, will be dead in Delaware. The Tea Party types will never forgive them for not just trashing O'Donnell i.e., (Rove & Krauthamer) but abandoning her during the campaign. Delaware will remain "blue".
