I think Paisley took a gamble, and that risk has value, whether his creation is great or not.. his intent was to say something. He is not trying to reconcile the past, he is trying to clarify the southern identity and their pride. Like he points out, people today are not responsible for actions of the past. Adding to that, sadly many black people are more angry about actions of that past that never happened to them personally. White people have been apologizing and offering gestures of peace ever since... proving reconciliation is not reality. The world has gotten way to hyper-sensitive, too much over-reaction, too many people offended by everything and anything. That is a HUGE part of the problem.

This is a study that they should do in say New York, or some hardcore anti-gun, liberal area.. where there is high crime.. vs a state with common sense when it comes to guns. Don't know how well there results will work.. but appreciate their effort

Watching the news team you would think Jackson had cancer, vs him being a criminal.
