Although it is natural to assume that someone who is wealthy like Brown would report all of his charitable giving on his tax return for its tax savings, I don't think that it is necessarily accurate. Some people are not comfortable reporting their own charitable giving. Before assuming that Brown's tax return tells the whole story, I would want to know whether he reports all of his giving on it.
