I've seen much younger people babble with a long line behind them, but there is something about an elderly person who just wants to have a conversation that is particularly endearing to me. As a Christian, I strongly believe in honoring my elders. If placed in the same shoes as the teller in this case, I think I would have had trouble knowing how to end the conversation politely. This was a good story to share, Mike.

That's an interesting idea, RN. Maybe that would've worked. But then, it might've scared the old lady. But you never know!

One afternoon I stopped by the bank to make a few deposits. I was in a rush and needed to get in and out as soon as possible. I had places to go and things I had to do. I picked the worst possible time of day and the worst day of the week to do my banking. But I had been out of town and needed to catch up on errands before the weekend began.
