Catholics! Fight! Fight! Fight!

"Additionally, Catholics who work for or hold stock in insurance companies must compromise their First Amendment rights." Huh? Maybe I'm missing something, but can't stockholders sell their stock, and employees move to another job? I didn't think that was part of the issue.

Deism is a subset of theism. A theist believes that there is at least one god. A deist believes that there is a god, or "creative force," that can be discovered through reason and scientific observation, and that does not communicate through divine revelation. A deist is not a Christian, although the deistic god frequently resembles the Biblical God very closely.

This will become a church-state issue next. As soon as this bill passes, unlicensed people who provide pastoral counseling or even accountability groups will be under the governmental gun.
David482, I'm a Bible-believing Christian, too. You are debating the truth of questionable conspiracy theories, while ignoring my very practical question. If you are concerned about the future of our country, you must have a candidate in mind for President. So, for the second time, for whom will you vote? My answer to this question is, Romney. He is not a perfect candidate, but he is a solid, common-sense man who is much closer to the Christian worldview that I have than any other viable candidate, if there is one.
David482: so for whom will you vote?

Can you cite some sources for your accusation, Kepha? It is an unfortunate trait of these types of wars that God-fearing people get caught up in the fire. If the Evangelicals (whatever you mean by that) supported the Calles regime, then I think that the Cristeros may have been justified to some extent, if what you say holds true.
The "religious freedom" aspect has to do with government requiring employers to have insurance policies that pay for those things. Catholics can choose to shop at Walgreens.
This principle does not just apply to religious organizations, but also to religious individuals who wish to run their private businesses according to their religious convictions.

Ironically, I had no idea what it was about, but guessed that it was another movie about the Alamo. I'm glad that I was wrong.
