CPL, did you catch the point where Obama tried the Candy tactic later in the debate? Obama asked Shieffer to fact check- twice on one of Obama's obvious attempts to disrupt the debate with a Candy moment. It was like the Candy moment when she realized her cue and picked up the papers the Obama people had given her just before the debate. To Bob's credit, he didn't bite the first time nor the second.

Yeah, Schieffer did his job. The fact that this didn't give my candidate, Romney, any advantages doesn't matter one whit to me. He had a job and he did that job and left who would win or lose the debate up to the participants themselves.

I have no complaints.

This was the best moderared debate of any in 2012! Bob was the epitome of professional and let no one take advantage of him! O sounded like a little boy calling on DADDY for protection. Basically he was told to man up.

Dropping the little people off at school today, I was approached by several of the Republican moms -- intelligent, interesting, accomplished women all -- who expressed worry that Romney had perhaps "lost" the debate by holding off on obvious critiques of the failed Obama record on foreign policy.

For any other intelligent, interesting, accomplished people out there who share that concern, I'll just say it straight out: Don't worry. Romney handled the debate absolutely correctly.  I share the sentiments of those who would have liked to see him absolutely hammer Obama on the manifold policy failures of this administration -- from...
