Yes, someone needs to take out Public Service Announcements like the swift boat guys did. Educate the dumb masses of this country and don't let this issue die, like our soldiers and diplomats.

I teach college and I am so disturbed by the lack of preparation by most students. Laziness is a factor, but more commonly, the problem is a lack of appreciation for higher learning, since all was given to them in high school. They automatically think if they do the assignments and come to class they will make an "A". There is no real appreciation that making the "A" requires work that leads to learning. I had a student this semester who asked why we continue to teach a course that many students fail. This was Anatomy and Physiology, a course required for entrance into most medical (clinical) fields. I don't know about you, but I don't want a nurse or MD that couldn't pass a course in physiology... it is the basis of all medicine.

You and me both, brother. But unfortunately, we have fallen too far...Maybe someday the pendulum will swing and we will boot out all politicians and vote in only ordinary, working citizens. One can only hope...But the first step is educating the populace...and unfortunately we have an education system that encourages ignorance..

Neal, not gonna happen. No person with common sense would subject themselves to the media, let alone the republican primary. A common sense candidate would be called a "hick" and a "commoner." Also, no matter how intelligent, they would be called ignorant. We are done as a country....No one with common sense will ever run.

This is sickening. I liked Rubio...he has a great story. But once again, a well meaning conservative "politician" has been duped. Send all illegals home. We CAN do this, even if it is by drying up their jobs or physically deporting them. Sue the "sanctuary cities" and take away their federal subsidies. Make illegals come through normal citizenship routes. Make the route to citizenship less cumbersome. Make them learn OUR language. No more requirement for Americans to speak spanish to get a job in South Florida. No more Spanish interpretation on voting. If you want to give kids who have grown up here work visas for a specified period of time, then do so., but no citizenship other than through normal routes. No federal subsidies, etc
