Good points. I think the primary season should be shortened and possibly the convention should be sooner so the GOP funds can be released before the other candidate has already run so many disparaging, negative ads that the GOP nominee can never undo them or catch up.

This election was a great loss for America. Mitt Romney is an extremely competent, intelligent, good and wise man. During the campaign I wondered why such a man would even want to be president, having to tolerate extreme distortions of his character and words. He ran because he truly wanted to help America, not for self aggrandizement or to grab power. What a shame. Not for him, for us.

The use of "gentleman" as you described has bothered me for years. I even hear policemen use it as," the gentleman was arrested when he was caught beating his wife." This is no gentleman! I remember when politicians who were caught in some immoral or shameful act would act remoreseful and slink away where they should be! Now they hold their heads up and carry on while our adolescent culture is diverted by a new celebrity event! We are a nation of children who holds no one accountable. Too bad for the victims.
