In President Clintons law suit against tobacco our federal government was awarded 31 billion dollars. My state was awarded 8 billion dollars (not millions billions) This was a small part of a very large settlement. This money was to be directed towards future care and help repair our failing medical system. What happened to these funds? Did the presidents dog eat them? Were they used for our War on Drugs and terrorism? . I do not support our present president but when he was handed the books our nation was in debt. He only added to it. In my opinion history should show President Bush as the one responsible for the beginning of a debt we cannot and will not recover from.
