You're absolutely right, that Romney is a big government guy. So is Ryan. In fact, we're getting a big-government two-fer with them. I have no illusions that Romney and Ryan are going to do anything much different. As a conservative, I swore I wouldn't vote for Romney and was going to write-in (here in California, Obama will win the state easily and its 55 electoral college votes) because my vote won't matter in this deep midnight blue state. However, after the debate, I realized there was more at stake than my conviction: we can't have an incompetent in the White House as the world is on the verge of exploding.

President Obama tanked in the last debate. Good.

Now maybe people will listen when Mitt Romney says things like, "The genius of America is the free enterprise system, and freedom, and the fact that people can go out there and start a business. ... The private market and individual responsibility always work best."

They do.

But then Romney responded to Obama by essentially saying: I want big government, too!
