First Maddow implied that Robertson was against Haitian deliverance from France. He did not reject their revolt but rather their reliance on the aid of Satan instead of God. Democrats are the party that outlawed drugs and invented the FDA and DEA and ruined lives and families through incarceration not to mention the cost in police court and prison on the state budgets. You could pay for health care on the amount of money spent on the drug war. Eliminating substance control is a winner for either party that will embrace it. Republicans should not let the left steal legalization from them nor should they let the democrats steal civil rights from them. Again it was democrats who opposed civil rights. The irony here is that the same day she was being grilled about her illegal defense of the" harvard non-descrimination policy" the SCOTUS announced its finding that university non- descrimination policys could ban even religious groups if they deny gays full access to their group. Does this mean that the military will now have to allow full access to gays or be kicked off campus?

I think Sowell misses a major point here. The second amendment is about citizens protecting themselves against the rise of tyranny. Govt wants to control. The constitution is designed to limit that control to a minimum. Govt (not just obama, all govt) uses crises the extend that control. About all it would take to cross the line into a take over at this point is the new internet switch law and a sufficient crisis to throw it. At that point, an armed citizenry would be the only thing standing between the dear leader and his dream of domination.
