Townhall Staff:

Is there a column of the Fact Checks to read anywhere? I'd rather do that than listen to the video.

Thank you.

If you, or your parents, are like me, & using a Medicare Sr Advantage insurance program, you need to pay very close attention to the proposed method of payment for Obama's healthcare plans as stated in his Wednesday night speech.

In WSJ, 09-10-09, “Democrats want to cut $177B out of Medicare by cutting out the 24% of Sr’s enrolled in Medicare Advantage programs because it’s run by private insurance companies”.

Obama said “these programs do nothing to improve senior’s care & only pad the pockets of insurance companies”. I know this is not true from my own excellent care with my Sr Advantage Plus services.

Obama told seniors to “not be afraid of scare stories about (how) your benefits will be cut”. But I am very...

Why couldn't Rep. Massa just change parties like Arlen Spector did? Could he become a Republican rep mid-stream and not have to resign? It does not seem to me that his spicy language isn't any worse than Rahm Emmanual's is, and as for the tossling of the hair of a young man - stupid, but apologize & move on. The last thing is, I don't understand why these people don't realize that everything they do is now shotgunned around the country and they should all clean up their acts! But, to be run out of office because of such a small thing isn't right, & Healthcare reform must be stopped. We need jobs! It's the Economy, Stupid. Do Jobs and Economy, then work on healthcare. What a bunch of idiots!

Thank you for the encouragement. I, too, got discouraged with the form letter response from my representatives. I wrote back "obviously you did not even read my letter, so obviously I can not vote for you". I will now continue my letters and protests. A continuing drop in the bucket will eventually cause the bucket to overflow. One drop at a time.
Thanks for your article, I’m glad that someone is speaking up for the truth of the fact Ted Kennedy was not really such a great guy, and had a weak and checkered past. I have a long memory and have not forgotten the events following Mary Jo’s death in the icy bay waters. Ted was always considered to be ‘the weak one’ in the family. He was a lousy husband and father, followed in the footsteps of his father and brother. Not a legacy to be proud of. I think the hatchet job he did on Judge Bork was the final straw for me, I never trusted him, or his motives, after that. To push through any kind of bill to ‘honor’ Ted Kennedy is a travesty and a shame on anyone who does it. I judge him by his deeds, not his words.
