Wow. Obviously you don't know Charles Krauthammer. He is smarter than anyone else I can name on any station. He is a Psychologist, who doesn't have 'airs'...just information. He doesn't put a spin on anything, just tells it like it is. He's one of the most respected and honest individuals on television today. As for his lack of a 'colorist', well, 'frankly, my dear....' .

A Tea Party Hangover?

Sunny45 Wrote: Apr 01, 2011 2:01 AM
I'm an Independent who completely agrees with the Tea Party's 'less Governmen't beliefs. For the pat several months, I have been buying gold, food insurance, candles, blankets, etc. I have done that because I have no belief in politicians anymore. Also, the Tea Party isn't like the 'unions'. It does absolutely no good to show up consistently to 'march' against everything and anything. I no longer take the 'unions' seriously because of their rude and, at times, illegal behavior. The Tea Party WILL be there when their appearance has substance to a given subject. They have been threatened, called every name in the book, been denied licenses and access to their politicians. So, instead of getting into yelling matches, they prepared...
Glenn Beck doesn't report stories that don't have the audio or video of said persons own words as proof. As for the 'Christian conservatives', Simon, it isn't about the fact that Mr. Beck is a Mormon and I happen to be an Independent Catholic. It has to do with believing in a God who preaches compassion, truthfulness and honor. A God who teaches us NOT to steal, rob, rape or murder, among other things. The alternative is an 'Imam' that preaches hatred of Jews, gays, Infidels and non-believers. An 'Imam' who asks his followers to strap bombs to themselves and die in his name, and let 'blood run in the streets'. I don't know about you, Simon, but I'll take the good vs evil any day.

Sotomayor's Ties to La Raza

Sunny45 Wrote: Aug 02, 2009 11:59 PM
Isn't it fascinating that LaRaza, with Sotomayor's backing, along with various groups of Mexican individuals DEMANDING their rights in this country - have done NOTHING to improve and/or change the corrupt, illerate poor country from which they escaped?
I know three things.
1. NO member of LaRaza has a desire to learn the language, the laws or the responsibilities of a citizen of the United States of America.
2. The Mexican people want to take the Southwestern land of the United States back...for what? So they can add the land to their third world country that they refuse to help?
3. The next wave of 'illegal aliens' won't be from Mexico and won't speak the same language as the La Raza groups. BUT, they will...

Exploiting Public Ignorance

I didn't vote for either of the major parties, so that's out of the way. Bush made mistakes which I was very verbal about during his time in the White House...BUT, I never said that I wanted him dead, I never said that he was the worst President ever...because he wasn't.
As for the 'war monger' label, I can only say this. I felt safe in my own country with Bush as President. I don't now. I felt the support of our allies, now I don't. I was angry that Bush didn't protect our borders.
NOW, the H1N1 virus comes across form Mexico, but Ms. Nepolitano said it was useless to close the border because it was already here. NOW, we are to get ready for a huge outbreak, especially near the border states. Huh.
The allies we once had are...

Has Rodney King Moved to Cambridge?

Mr. Jackson;
Thank you for your article. I am a white woman who, admittedly, has no clue what a black person experiences.
However, I have wonderful friends, who refuse to let anyone use the word 'black' to decribe them. They are Americans. They said they've never been to Africa, although they know their family history. They also said they would never have become the docotrs, professors and engineers that they are had they lived anywhere else.
Until Reverend Wright made his infmaous speech, I had no idea that racism was a factor. I am surrounded by Americans with Rev. Wright's skin color, but there isn't hatred or an apology requirement.
You, Sir, and others like you are the individuals who will be able to honestly...

Obama, The Mortal

Sunny45 Wrote: Sep 05, 2009 12:22 PM
Aside from everything Mr. Krauthammer hasso artfully pointed out, her's the rest...through the eyes of American citizens.
Mr. Obama began HIS illustrious Presidency by touring as many foreign countries as possible. He told the leaders and the people that he was ashamed of Americans. He apologized consistantly for the 'arrogance' of the people of this nation...the most giving, compassionate, helpful nation in the entire world. Now that he has destroyed our jobs AND the economy, these 'arrogant' individuals can no longer afford all the private donations and offers of help. They now have to strive to feed their own families. So, now the President doesn't just have to attempt to placate Americans, he must also answer to all foreign...

HWB -- Home While Black

This is so sad! Everytime something happens, the finger pointing begins.
I'm sorry for your bad experiences! I truly am and I hope you never have to experience that again.
I don't believe anyone is calling you a 'racist', Sir. I'm not a 'racist' either. But I fear that the time will come during Mr. Obama's Presidency when we will all stop speaking to one another...for fear of saying the wrong thing.
I hate to see all the progress we've made - and we've made a great deal in a very short time (the Middle East is having the religious wars it had thousands of years ago)- wither away. Your message made me sad. But the anger from everyone makes me even sadder.

HWB -- Home While Black

A neighbor called and reported a robbery in progress. Three police officers responded (One Black, one white and one hispanic). The officers approached the 'broken door (from a previous break-in) and asked the inidividual who was in the house if he wuld step out onto the porch. At that point, the police didn't know if he was a thief, if he was armed or who he was.
The reports were written by the white and hispanic officers. They asked for identification repeatedly as the DISTINGUISHED Harvard Professor made references to the officer's mama, called him a racist and wouldn't calm down.

Medical Care Confusion

Sunny45 Wrote: Jul 22, 2009 12:24 AM
Okay, then. If the government wants to prove to Americans that they can run health care, why don't they begin by fixing Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. The fraud alone should go a long way in paying off the deficit.
All of the afore mentioned programs are government run..so what does that tell you?
Also, why would ANYONE go to the time and expense of medical school if the government is going to set their appointments, their fees, their prescriptions and their treatments? A person would be much smarter to skip the college loan and work for GM or GE...or one of the other governmnet owned entities.
It's OBVIOUS to all legal Americans, 72% of whom are happy with their care, that this is a health care bill for illegal...
