In response to:

Surreal: Obama's Fiscal Cliff Proposal Stuns Washington

When Simpson-Bowles was called for, I thought that would be the end of the problem. I saw an interview of Allen Simpson in which he said 'all sacred cows' would be impacted by it. But, it saw a place on a shelf just like every budget for the past three years. Then, we were threatened with a Super Committee and the nightmare not reaching an agreement would cause. Frankly, I'm worn out from all the threats that have been escalating for years. Let's go over the 'Fiscal Cliff'. Maybe then we can get rid of Reid, Pelosi, Boehner, and McConnell and find some real leadership that will get us to the 'Promised Land'.

TAKE THE FISCAL CLIFF: It’s ugly, but it's as good a deal as we'll ever get.

The alternative is a pony show deal that gives into Obama, raises taxes higher than Sequestration and has no real spending cuts with false promises.

Tell you what, Kilroys, I'm getting tired of all of the 'fixes' that take place over ten years. How about something that works today? Or next week? Or next year? Something that everybody now in Congress is there to bear responsibility for?

The Mack-Penny plan works today...but the left rejected it along with their own Simpson-Bowles commission.

That's why Sequestration works cuts govt. spending in real terms while only increasing taxes to Clinton rates which are far lower than the rates Obama wants.

Take the FISCAL's as good a deal as we'll get.

Kilroys... Good to see you again, my man! Long time no see!

Boehner has no choice left... It's the cliff or totally be a spineless wimp to the ridiculous proposal as offered by Tim Guithner... It was a joke... Even Mitch McConnel had to laugh in the meeting!

Nuke 'em!!! Fiscal Cliff... Here We Come!!!

It's cool, my man!

Sequestration (AKA the "fiscal cliff") is not a bad deal.

Obama will NEVER agree to meaningful cuts and is really only seeking to play partisan politics of class envy. Obama isn't serious about any 'balanced approach'...he's in campaign mode still.

Screw em...take the cliff, hold Obama spending to no more than Sequestration and tax increases no more than Clinton rates on EVERYONE.

It was always just a delay tactic. Just like Benghazi, just like Fast and Furious. They never want to deal with reality. They are career politicians. They have never had to.

Republicans have been asking for the White House's plan for some time now -- well, they finally got one.  Oh my:

House Republicans said on Thursday that Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner presented the House speaker, John A. Boehner, a detailed proposal to avert the year-end fiscal crisis with $1.6 trillion in tax increases over 10 years, an immediate new round of stimulus spending, home mortgage refinancing and a permanent end to Congressional control over statutory borrowing limits. The proposal, loaded with Democratic priorities and short on detailed spending cuts, was likely to meet strong...
