When the Israelis last went into Gaza, under the incompetent Olmert, it was slowed down far more than it believed it would be. If Israel is determined to fight, it should use missiles to clear Gaza back to a point where mobile rocket launchers that could have any effect would be readily visible. Expect Hezbollah to start fighting from Lebanon. Israel's days of starting a military attack and winning it in time to be home for dinner are over.

Problem is,the missile launchers are mobile and kept in deep tunnels and bunkers,dug under civilian homes. They drive out to a nearby schoolyard or farmers field,launch,and abandon the truck so the soldiers don't get bombed by Israeli warplanes.

Diplomatic talks have been underway for days but nothing seems to be happening. Egypt has taken the side of Hamas and the rocket attacks aren't stopping. This has prompted Israel to prepared ground troops for a potential invasion of Gaza.
