Congress can go a long way to fixing costs without touching healthcare. THEY allowed for profit insurance companies. How about changing them to non-profits? How about minimizing malpractice? Or, setting maximum costs of treatments? And, allowing health insurance between states? And, negotiating with the drug companies? Also, allowing everyone to qualify for healthcare. And, offering major medical coverage (for hospitalization, surgery, birth, etc.) at affordable prices according to income. All can be done without altering our QUALITY of healthcare.
