You couldn't be afraid to vote for Romney if you had any understanding of what BO was up to. If you didn't vote against BO this election, then you're probably a lost cause. One of Romney's problems is that he, like the Bushes, McCain, Dole, and the Republican Party, has no fire-in-the-belly principles. That's why no one, including Romney himself, actually knows what he would do had he been elected. Next time, I want Ron Paul's ideas and Marco Rubio's zeal.
In January 2008, at a John McCain rally in Columbia, S.C., I asked a number of local politicos to look back to the brutal 2000 Republican primary in their state, the one between McCain and George W. Bush.
