Just for fun: "Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region" Nancy Pelosi, Dec 1998 "We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country" Al Gore, Sept 2002 "I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction" John Kerry Oct 2002 It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." Sen. Hillary Clinton Oct 2002

So?

These statements were based on the false information fed to them by Bush.

That brainiac Chimp strikes again. Bush II was so oo oo clever.

I did not realize how easily Bush was able to fool the liberal leadership. Here I was thinking that Bush was an idiot and people like Kerry, Gore, Pelosi, and Clinton were like super-geniuses. Kinda makes you wonder how Pelosi became Speaker and Kerry and Clinton went on to become Secretaries of State despite such clear evidence that they could be taken in by someone no smarter than Bush.

One thing I never understood, though, is how anyone could deny Saddam had WMD's when it was, and is, accepted as fact that he killed hundreds of Kurds with aerially delivered poisonous gas (i.e., a WMD). Is it possible that Saddam just mixed up enough gas to kill one village, and then threw away the recipe?

It is pretty amazing how Bush was able to feed false information to Nancy Pelosi and others as much as 3 years before he even became president. He somehow found a way to trick Gore, who had been VP for 8 years and who had access to intelligence all those years, too. It seems like we must really have underestimated how brilliant Bush was. .......Yeah, right.....

Billy, If I could choose which of the two scenarios - Saddam had WMD's or Bush hornswoggled the liberal elite - were true, the latter is way more entertaining.

Kerry was on the intelligence committee, he had the same exact info as the Pres. Why did Clinton bomb Iraq monthly in the last years of my military service? By the way, I was a communications security NCOIC while Clinton did his bombing.

(Viet - You, Billy, and I know that the Bush Lied campaign was a bad-faith lie by the liberals. But it is not in Corbett's best interests to acknowledge the truth.)

Ten years ago this week, the United States led an invasion of Iraq with the explicit purpose of overthrowing Saddam Hussein. The preceding months had been filled with vehement protests against the impending war, expressed in editorials, in advertisements, and in rallies so vast that some of them made it into the Guinness Book of World Records. With so many people against the invasion, who supported it?

Well, if you were like the great majority of Americans – you did. In February and March 2003, Newsweek's polls...
