Christian Parents Should Have Their Kids Play with Toy Guns

Is the good reverend aware that several of the clergy invented improvements in firearms during their off time from the pulpit? The Scots Reverend Forsythe invented the percussion cap which revolutionized the rapid fire capabilities of small arms. Sort of the 30 round magazine of the 1830's. I used toy guns to teach my children gun safety. Once in a grocery store checkout line my five year old had his cowboy outfit on and a customer behind us tried to get him to play cowboys and indians, but my son wouldn't play the game with him. He asked why, and I told him my son was taught never to point a gun at someone, even in play. The embarrassed customer sheepishly apologized.

According to CBS, St. Louis, Pastor Rodney Francis, of the Washington Tabernacle Baptist Church, wants to keep kiddos away from guns, so this summer his church is planning a “toy gun buy back” program. How quaint. I kid you not: A. Toy. Gun. Buy. Back. Sounds like he’s setting up the next generation to be victimized slaves to bad people and policies.

Yep, Reverend Rodney “feels” he needs to do “everything (he) can to not allow our kids to get exposed to (guns) too early.” Aww ... ain’t that sweet? Hey, maybe he could also hand out during that...
