I don't see how you get Shedlock and Rommney in the same camp. Romney says the projected cuts are way too much and has consistently deferred to the Military brass on strategy. Shedlock's article is a clue-less rant advocating a runt military.
I can't figure out whether this article is Left wing fantasy or Libertarian isolationist idolatry. Maybe it's a mix of both. But certainly anyone who does not know the difference between a Destroyer, Cruiser, or Air Craft Carrier doesn't have a clue when it comes to appropriate Naval force structure. Everyone who follows DoD systems development and procurement understands Milspec causes a major uptick in costs. But the extensive documentation, sourcing secrecy, and process controls that result do have value. With the unfettered private sector you end up having the most advanced technology built in China, or with Chinese components that could be compromised.
If we want to be true to our own core beliefs, we must support democratic instutionalization in Egypt. The over-throw of the regime, or throwing the countries constitution into the Nile as ElBaradie's hard line also seems to advocate is not in any ones best interest. Mubarak inherited the legacy of Nasser who's internal policy was equally authoritarian, yet is hailed the hero in much of Arab and Egyptian conscousness. The old (Secular) regime is needed to buttress against an islamist ascension. The struggle between secularist and islamist wings of the political spectrum can pay best in a context of democratic institutions. So what is needed are new terms of engagement between the Army dominated regime (20%) and the Muslim brotherhood...
You mention 60 million gun owners in America. Too bad one of them was not at the scene, armed, and ready to return fire. Had there been, it is likely less people would have been killed or wounded. That fact is the fundamental counter point to gun control. The problem was there were not enough "gun toting" citizens at the scene. Only the nut was armed.
So the liberal list is not in the plan, good thing. What it does contain are.. Tax, spending, cuts, strong, defense, constitution, repeal, Obamacare. etc.
The average unemployment rate during the Bush administration was 5.3%. Terrible ha! Evan as late as February 2008 it was 4.8%. Obama laments these years.
When you consider that all the deaths caused by Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and Hitler were that of socialist atheists, and those deaths in fifty years exceed all the war deaths in all of history, why shouldn't atheism be considered a clear and present danger where-in its adherents should enjoy the accommodations of a prison cell? Well, I suppose the answer is we have a first amendment.

Liberal hypocrisy is boundless. A few years ago it was just art and free expression when all the desecrating images of christian symbols was in vogue. Now desecrating a Muslim symbol has them in a dither. Just goes to prove liberal principle is a matter of who's ox is being gored.

I still hear liberals drool out the tired old line of god forbid if we go back to the policies of the Bush Administration. You mean like back in February 2008 when unemployment was 4.8%. Like when annual deficits were 1/4 what they are now. When we had a string of 5 straight years of economic growth. Keep in mind, it was Bawack U'buma; who got by far the highest level of campaign donations from Fannie Mae as a Senator, and who played a primary role to block the Bush Administration and Republican efforts to reign said institutions insanity of backing the sub-prime loans made to people who could not afford them. These institutions collapsing in August of 2008 was ground zero for the financial crisis, and lead directly the the collapsing...

FBJ you said "THEY did not attack us.". Even Obama and his loony left friends don't say that. You really ought to stop putting so much LSD in your Kool-Aid. When Bush went into Afghanistan, he did so with 89% approval in polls. Of the remaining, there were those clueless soles that didn't hear about 9/11, and those despicable nit-wits that thought the the attack was justified. Obviously you must be claiming to be in the former of the two categories.
