In response to:

Romney: We Must Repeal ObamaCare in its Entirety

tuttletacoma: You posted, in part, at 2:03pm: "leroy's maintains that once you are the govt teat, it is a lifetime benefit and can never be taken away". If the leroyw11's of this country believe this, they might want to talk to the retired city employees of Prichard, Alabama. In 2010, Prichard went broke - and completely cut off all pension payments to its approximately 150 retired employees. And to the best of my knowledge, those pension payments have never been resumed to this day. The retirees hemmed, hawed, maybe even sued, but when there's no money, there's no money, and you can't get blood out of a stone.

tuttletacoma redux:

When they found the dead body of one retired Prichard city employee who apparently had no OTHER means of support besides his city pension (I think he was not yet of Social Security age at the time), and apparently lacked the resources to try to go out and get a job but apparently preferred waiting instead on the government he put his whole trust in to come riding to his rescue, he was by then living in a house with no electricity or running water.

If Obama gets a second term and runs this country bankrupt, MANY foolish liberals will share this retiree's fate.

tuttletacoma redux redux:

To finish my thought:

By the way, the above true story is courtesy of ResistWeMuch: she posted these details earlier this year on some threads on the Hot Air site, which is how I became aware of this story.

Many foolish liberals who think the government teat is a never-ending flow and have made themselves utterly dependent on the continuance of that flow will find out the hard way, if Obama gets his way, that the government that they loved and worshipped does NOT reciprocate their love and indeed is quite willing to condemn them to a bitter death.

Over the past two days, many have raised questions about whether Mitt Romney is actually committed to repealing ObamaCare in its entirety after telling ABC News he supports certain aspects of the law. Romney never said he would keep any part of ObamaCare, but said he would place certain parts he supported, like the coverage of pre-existing conditions, into his own healthcare plan after a full ObamaCare repeal.
