JimRob: You STILL haven't answered my question from earlier, so I'll pose it AGAIN, smart guy: If your typical person under age 70 should be able to compete physically with a typical 17-year-old, as you seem to imply, then WHY don't we see routinely see athletes in their 50's and 60's playing in our major professional sports leagues (even in non-contact sports such as golf and tennis) against far younger competitors who are in their late teens and 20's? Why is Jamie Moyer, at 49, the oldest player in major-league baseball? WHY don't we see considerably OLDER players currently playing major-league baseball? OR in the NHL, NBA, and NFL?

Because they either become managers/coaches of pro teams or they end up in jail for crimes to support their drug habits, that they developed when they entered pro sports because they were neither mature enough or educated enough to be handed the amount of money they were. Most pro football players major in basket weaving in college because the school wants them on the team. Or they spend four years studying pool and maybe basic math with an english class thrown in, but under no circumstances do college athletes take classes that they may fail because that would put them on the ineligible list and of course they couldn't play football which is the only reason that they're in college in the first place. Same applies to basketball.

Old age with experience and treachery will usually overcome youth and exuberance in the quick battle..................in the long run like a pro sport, not so much.............
Liberals have leapt on the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Florida to push for the repeal of "stand your ground" laws and to demand tighter gun control. (MSNBC'S Karen Finney blamed "the same people who stymied gun regulation at every point.")

This would be like demanding more funding for the General Services Administration after seeing how its employees blew taxpayer money on a party weekend in Las Vegas.

We don't know the facts yet, but let's assume the conclusion MSNBC is leaping to is accurate: George Zimmerman stalked a small black child and murdered him in cold blood,...
