I think perhaps we should all just simmer down about the whole
MJ thing.
He's dead.
Its done.

For all the complaining the he is getting too much attention, we here at TH have been doing the same.
Lets do start focusing on the real problems facing this country
(whatever you think they may be) and just stop fretting over who MJ was and what so-and-so said about him.

And one more thing we should all be able to agree on,
NO MORE MICHAEL JACKSON COLUMNS.
Slow down a little bit, buddy.
You could give yourself a heart-attack gettin so worked up.

Secular Saboteurs

While it is true that this country is mostly christian in make up, there are many of us that are both christian and still see the Founders principal of separation of church and state as an important.
To wish that the church was more overbearing in the public square is to assume that christians are a monolith. As though catholics and protestants believe the same thing and would not go after each other like sunnis and shia (think northern Ireland).
The only thing that keeps America from that kinds of trouble is the idea that one sect cannot exert political power over another.

I thank God for it.

Pundits, Get Out of Iran's "Green" Zone

Its sad to read this wonderful and realistic assesment of the situation in Iran and then find only one comment about it. Then read Ann coulters piece, with its thoughtless partisan bashing (as if America were really part of the equation over there), and see over 200 comments.

Why is it that TH readers are choosing the sensational crud over the well laid out straight dope?
