The "private sector levering-up" was a bipartisan screwup. A GOP Congress passed legislation like the repeal of Glass-Steagall and the Commodities Futures Modernization Act--and then *President Clinton* signed those acts into law. You tend to forget how pro-Wall Street Clinton's advisers like Robert Rubin were.

Uhm, yeah, 'jobs will be lost' if Congress doesn't act and put a definitive stop to President Obama's farcical economic equivalent of playing God. Honestly now -- is he joking?
