True, he was vague and general. Which is surprising, as you'd think a talk show host would be well versed in all things political. On the other hand, I see a common sense kind of guy, like a Reagan. His record as a highly successful manager tells me he works effectively with people and advisors. Can't say we know him well enough yet. But this is not someone to write off so fast.

Certainly true they pushed McCain, and then the NYT did a hatchet job on him within a few days of the nomnination, a piece clearly prepared days before.

You also lost wealth if you bought after the price spiral but before the correction. Or if you owned stocks in companies adversely affected by the correction. Or lost a job because of it.

These are roughly the same guidelines Canadian banks abide. And as most aware people know, Canadian banks remained strong trough the global financial crisis, the Canadian economy in better shape than any other major democracy's, and some thing most don't know: the Canadian housing market barely rippled. That suggests these new rules will not much undermine home ownerhip, contributing instead to far fewer foreclosures and therefore a steadier economy.
I have a better message for these kids, "You'll be paying for the rest of your lives for government employees' high wages and astronomical pensions. How sure are you that you're protesting for the good guys here?"

In support of your point is the left's hypocrisy. Because we all know that while they'll jump and cry foul when a girl isn't allowed on a boys team, they have no problem with boys being precluded from girls teams.

You ask, "What do they do to spina bifida and Downs syndrome children born or pre-born? To old people? " They treat them. On the whole as well as or better than in the US.

The US has the best medical system, if you can afford it. Most objective measures, such as life expectancy, do not support better quality of life in the US over other developed democracies. Truth is, the US, like Canada, provides free medical care for those who can't afford it. That's why the US government spends almost as much per capita on medicare as the Canadian government. Yet very few people, American or Canadian, know this - Bieber being one example. In his case, growing up with a single mom and not a lot of money, Canadian medicare was probably essential. As Austin Hill writes, it means those who paid more taxes subsidized his family's health care. But, as noted above, so it is in the US too.

Reports of that incident were terribly distorted. It was for medical reasons the doctors wouldn't perform the tracheotomy, and nothing to do with cost. The same decision may well have been taken by American doctors.
The rest of the pattern is that things happen far more often in the US than elsewhere. They were rare in Canada and mexico, until American guns started to pour over the borders. If guns had never so proliferated to begin with, then the argument that bad guys will always have guns so thje good guys need them to, wouldn't make any sense. If supply is endless, obviously the bad guys will get them, in many cases legally. Not that it matter. It would have been better if the US had never had the 2nd amendment. Owning a gun is not an intrinsic right, like Free Speech. Limits on self defense are reasonable - we wouldn't allow people to own and defend themselves with a tank, cruise missile or loaded F35. It would have been better if...
