Eric. Your incoherence is showing. You seem to know what is truly morally fair and just. Besides simply presuming it what is your basis for justifying the truth of your prescriptive morality. Until Progressives come to terms with this age-old dilemma their hypocrisy will persuade no one. In the end all they have is: My morality is better than yours … just because it is.

Great job Katie. The 1st Commandment of Liberalism is: thou shalt not impose your moral values on anyone! Of course for Liberals that only applies to everyone but themselves. Yet clearly, every time they use the word “should” they are doing exactly what they say we shouldn’t do. “The rich should pay more of their fair share in taxes!” What religious text does that come from: The Liberal Bible of Moral Superiority. The countless millions of self-deceived Pitts and Cubans (Pelosi’s, Obama’s, Michael Moore’s, Al Gore’s Etc. Etc. Etc.) seem blindingly incapable of seeing their own nauseating hypocrisy.
Michael. I agree with your thoughts. The messages that come with great ideas have the potential for great change.

The only problem is this: Those who manipulate the message, those who define that which is “intellectual” and those who shape the arguments are the same people who dogmatically believe that conservative ideas are wrong, bad, self-serving, immoral and backwards.

The demands of media protocol rigorously patrol the self-imposed limits of our liberal intellectual tradition. The media is indeed the gatekeeper of this tradition and fight to undermine those who challenge their dogma.

I also agree Conservatives need to bring their ideas to the table without all the shrill incivility. However they have to do...

It goes without saying that Bill Moyers has proven to be a demanding liberal ideologue. His unreflective prejudice for his own ideology undermines all possible credibility.

Of course his hypocrisy pales in light of the countless progressive liberals like him who hold overwhelming persuasive power in the media and in our government. This is truly frightening because I believe they’d rather see the country fail than give up a single iota of their utopian demands.

Please continue to expose the hypocrisies of Mr. Moyers. Not sure what that will do except to remind us how true it is that men’s complete addiction to idealism will horribly corrupt the very ideals they hold.
