h2Oskier, The states do NOT have the rights to do away with Constitutional rights, so long as they are a part of the Union. In saying THAT, Illinois is without doubt NOT Constitutionally sound in their legislation against the 2nd Amendment. But Illinois doesn't recognize the Constitution as anything but a list of requests. The sorriest part about all this is that we now have a President that thrives on his Chicago cronies' ideals. Mayor (Mobster) Richard J. Daley would have been SO proud.
